Are you a natural host or hostess with a passion for premium food and customer experience? As Assistant Store Manager at Henri Willig, you will ensure that customers are immersed in the world of authentic cheese, craftsmanship and Dutch hospitality. You will manage the team, monitor the quality of the shop experience and inspire customers with our special products. You are not only responsible for the shop results, but especially for the total experience in the store.

As Assistant Store Manager, together with the store manager, you will  you will lead an enthusiastic team and ensure a premium shopping experience every day. You will introduce customers to our cheeses, stories and traditions and ensure that every visitor leaves the shop with a smile and an experience to remember. You are a real people manager, love dynamics and know how to turn service into an experience.

What will you do as store manager?

  • Together with the store manager, you are jointly responsible for the daily management of the shop and the team, with a strong focus on guest experience, quality and commercial results in a premium retail environment.
  • Together with your team, you create a professional and warm working atmosphere in which cooperation, ownership and job satisfaction are key.
  • You coach and develop employees, encourage them to take responsibility and ensure stable staffing, also during your absence.
  • You actively monitor and promote the Cheese & More by Henri Willig concept to guests, colleagues and external partners, and act as brand ambassador.
  • You are, in the absence of the store manager, the point of contact for local collaborations, suppliers and internal departments and contribute to local entrepreneurship within clear frameworks.
  • You manage results such as turnover, service quality and team development and report to the regional manager.
  • Through your professional leadership, you and your team build a shop where quality, hospitality and pride come together visibly.

What we are looking for in you

  • Experience in a management position within retail, hospitality or a guest-focused environment, preferably in an international or tourism context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a proactive attitude and sense of responsibility.
  • Coach, develop and motivate team members, while being clear, structured and decisive.
  • Passion for retail, premium food and tourism, and the ability to convey this as a brand ambassador - in-store and together with marketing.
  • Analytical and commercial thinking, recognising improvement opportunities and implementing them effectively.
  • Fluent German and English, with an additional language as an advantage.
  • Flexibility within a fixed shop schedule, four to five days a week, between 10:00 and 20:00.
