Henri Willig Academy

Within the Henri Willig Group, we attach great importance to the continuous development of our employees. After all, they are an important factor in the success of our organisation. Within our own Henri Willig Academy, various training programmes and courses are offered to further strengthen the talents of our employees. This enables the employee to take responsibility for the goals set within his or her position and make a good contribution to the organisation's goals and his or her own development.

Onboarding

There is a wonderful onboarding programme for new colleagues. During the introduction day in Katwoude, new colleagues are introduced to the Cheese Family, including Wiebe Willig, the general manager. The programme consists of various presentations and a tour of: 

  • The Organic Jersey Stable (with presentation by Henri Willig himself)
  • Cheese dairy
  • Farm shop
  • Headquarters

This learning-filled day creates inspiration and a great basis for general onboarding within Henri Willig.

Say Cheese

For our Retail colleagues, the Henri Willig Academy offers the Say Cheese sales training. Besides subject and product knowledge, communication skills are major influencers of customer buying behaviour. In this training, the Academy helps new colleagues gain more insight and skill in customer approach and sales. In addition, retail e-learnings include the following:

  • storytelling / our cheese story
  • dealing with aggression
  • various talent training courses

Storemanagement

For new shop managers, the Henri Willig Academy has developed a Store Management training course. For one year, the Store Manager is trained in various aspects that are important as a manager. These include

  • coaching management
  • recruitment and selection interviews
  • rosters and planning
  • performance management cycle
  • Annual plan and budgeting

Together with the regional manager and external trainers, store managers receive appropriate guidance in this.

Hygiëne en Veiligheid

For colleagues starting work in production, health and safety are a top priority from day one. A range of e-learning courses has been developed to explain the key guidelines and working methods. This applies to both the Heerenveen and Katwoude sites. 

The e-learning modules are clearly structured, ensuring that new colleagues fully understand what is expected of them in the production environment. Compulsory e-learning modules include:

  • Hygiene training
  • Food safety
  • Working safely
