Experience in retail is not a requirement to start working at Henri Willig. What is much more important is enthusiasm, a hospitable attitude and an affinity with people from different cultures. Via the Henri Willig Academy, you will be fully familiarised with our products and way of working.

Working in the Shops of Henri Willig

At Henri Willig, you work as a sales assistant or store manager in cheese farms and shops spread across the Netherlands, Germany and Austria. Every day, you receive visitors from all over the world and tell the story behind our artisanal cheeses. Working in retail at Henri Willig combines hospitality, storytelling, language skills and passion for a unique Dutch product. There are also plenty of apprenticeship/traineeship and growth opportunities.

Within Henri Willig, you can work at three different types of locations:

Cheese Farms (Hoeves) in Volendam, Katwoude and Zaandam (Zaanse Schans) , where visitors discover the complete country-to-customer story behind our cheeses.
Cheese Farm Stores, traditional old Dutch cheese shops in Amsterdam, Edam and Delft , where hospitality, product experience and sales come together.
Cheese & More by Henri Willig shops, located in busy city centres and shopping areas in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria.

Working at our cheese farms in Volendam, Katwoude and Zaandam

Our cheese farms are the heart of Henri Willig. Here, visitors from all over the world discover how our cheeses are made and what has made our family business special for generations.

As an employee on a farm, you are much more than just a shop assistant. You are a host or hostess (in old Dutch costume), ambassador of our brand and part of a unique tourist experience. You welcome groups of visitors, tell them about our cheeses, guide tastings and help guests find their favourite products.

Working in a Cheese Farm Store

Our Cheese Farm Stores are located in popular tourist locations where visitors come to enjoy our products and the story behind Henri Willig. Here you will help customers discover new flavours, give product advice and provide a welcoming shopping experience in costume.

Our Cheese & More shops can be found in vibrant city centres where both local customers and international visitors are looking for quality products and personal service. Here the emphasis is more on retail, sales and customer advice within a modern shopping environment.
