Cheese factory Henri Willig, also known for its organic Hooidammer cheeses, is a fast-growing, independent cheese maker, exporter and retailer that has been successful in the premium cheese segment since 1974.quality, sustainability and innovation are our top priorities. More than 500 members of our Cheese Family are involved every day in making our award-winning cheeses, which we sell daily to our customers in more than 35 countries as well as in our 30 own shops 

At Kaasmakerij Henri Willig, a lot has been invested in expanding and improving the factory in Heerenveen in recent years. Examples include the implementation of a (robotised) packaging line, a cheese treatment line and a completely renovated, enlarged and automated cheese warehouse. You will deal with the most modern robots and AGVs in the dairy industry as well as with artisanal specialty cheeses that are winning awards worldwide. 

With his knowledge and insight into automated processes, the Operator is an important link in the storage and handling of the various cheese specialities of Kaasmakerij Henri Willig.  

You will mainly work at the weekend, making this job easy to combine with your studies and with attractive bonuses. 

You will be part of a team of about 30 colleagues, but in practice you will work with a small number of colleagues working in our Plant at weekends. You will report to the Logistics Team Leader. You will mainly be deployed on weekends between 07:00 - 22:00 but you can also be deployed at night. This results in attractive bonuses of 37% - 125% depending on the part of the day you are deployed). 

What will you do?

  • Handling the cheeses using various automated handling and loading lines

  • Monitoring the process flow and identifying deviations in the process and adjusting the equipment

  • Pickling the cheese

  • Adequate action in case of (threatening) process disruptions

  • Operating the programmed storage installation according to planning

  • Maintaining information in the ERP package with regard to progress, process data and malfunctions

  • Signalling and remedying malfunctions and liaising with TD

  • Pro-actively cleaning machines, equipment and general area

What do you bring?

  • Preferably some experience in a similar operator position (Food is a plus)

  • Looking for a part-time job for a longer period of time (e.g. to combine with your studies)

  • Problem-solving ability, process insight, technical insight/analytical skills, ability to work independently, eye for detail, proactive and flexible attitude.
