Since the opening of our beautiful Cheese & More by Henri Willig shop in Maastricht, I have been Retail Store Manager since 2018. Here, I trained a completely new team and we currently have a wonderful permanent team in our shop. After all these years, I still work for our family business Henri Willig with great pleasure. The very small shop in Maastricht has experienced tremendous growth over the years. There have been huge challenges such as the Corona epidemic in which visitor numbers dropped tremendously. Yet we managed to pull through this as a company, shop and team. Visitors are starting to come again and also know how to find the shop well.

After selling our catering business, I took six months off.
Then, literally with 10 application/motivation letters under my arm, I went past several nice shops in Maastricht where I could see myself working. When I arrived at Henri Willig's Cheese & More shop, all my letters had run out! But inspired by the beautiful shop and the lovely pavement sign outside with the job advertisement for young, young-aged old etc, I went straight home to write another application/motivation letter.

After talking to many people in my immediate circle, I quit my job as a dietician and asked if I could work full-time at Henri Willig. This was a good choice. At a later stage, I talked to my then manager about the Henri Willig Academy for Store Managers and decided to participate in it. A year later, I became Store Manager of Cheese & More Bloemenmarkt. I am very proud of the path I have taken.
