Minimum 32 and maximum 36 contract hours per week
Cheese factory Henri Willig is a fast-growing, independent cheese producer that has been successful in the exclusive cheese segment since 1974. Cheese factory Henri Willig occupies a strong position in the national and international markets for organic cheese, goat's cheese and other Dutch cheese specialities. The total organisation comprises two cheese factories and several of its own shops. Our organisation has over 450 employees. In recent years, Cheese factory Henri Willig has invested heavily in expanding and improving the factory in Heerenveen. Examples include the implementation of a packaging line, a robotised cheese treatment line and a completely renovated, enlarged and automated cheese warehouse.
How would it affect you if someone called you about a breakdown in one of the machines? Does this frighten you or does it actually give you energy because you can show them what you are worth? At that moment, you can ensure, together with the operator, that our processes get back on track. During your day shift, you identify possible areas for improvement and carry out preventive maintenance in order to avoid malfunctions in the future. The installations you work on are very diverse; on the one hand, it is mainly about liquid processes such as milk and whey processing, on the other hand, handling and packaging.
Experience in these areas is certainly desirable, but we also offer you the opportunity to improve yourself where necessary. This can be done both by following a training course and by gaining practical experience together with your immediate colleagues. You will work independently, but of course also as part of the team with four other mechanics. Together, we can tackle any challenge that arises. We immediately see you as a full colleague and give you the opportunity to get to know our factory and systems. After a familiarisation period, you will work on standby shifts, which are divided equally among the TD team. On average, you will work on standby one weekend every five weeks. In addition, you will have one fixed day of on-call duty on weekdays, where we will take your wishes and private circumstances into account as much as possible. On average, you will be called up twice a month.
In this position, you have the option of working 32 or 36 hours.
What will you do?
- You consult daily with the other mechanics, your supervisor and the production departments
- Locating, analysing and rectifying faults
- Carrying out preventive maintenance and inspections
- Actively thinking along in improvements
Your profile:
- MBO4 working and thinking level

We offer:
- a position classified in scale 7 of the Dairy CLA (€3,162 - €3,887 gross monthly salary based on 36 hours including the minimum 8% CLA increase that will be implemented after agreement with the unions)
- 8% holiday allowance, 4% end-of-year bonus, consignment allowance and good fringe benefits (pension, travel allowance, etc.)
- prospect of a permanent appointment with good performance
- an annual Sustainable Employability budget and the possibility to develop yourself with our Henri Willig Academy
- a dynamic working environment with short lines of communication
- a very challenging and varied job in which you learn every day
