Are you an ambitious Independent Working Chef with a passion for cooking and would you like to work at a beautiful location in Giethoorn and have the opportunity to put a new Grand Café on the map? Then we are looking for you!

Last year our Grand Café Henri Willig opened its doors in Giethoorn. Grand Café Henri Willig is part of the Henri Willig Group. The Henri Willig Group, also known for its organic Hooidammer cheeses, is a fast-growing, independent cheese maker, exporter and retailer that has been successful in the exclusive cheese segment since 1974. Quality, sustainability and innovation are our top priorities. More than 500 members of our Cheese Family are involved every day in making our award-winning cheeses, which we deliver daily to our customers in more than 50 countries as well as in our 37 own shops and 3 cheese farms. So now we also have a catering operation in Giethoorn!

As an independent working chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that appeal to both individual guests and groups. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to put together the menu and tailor it to the wishes of our guests. You can work 3 4 or 5 days a week.

What will you do as an independent working cook?

  • As an independent working cook, you will be responsible for the daily operations in the kitchen of the Grand Café
  • You keep the stock of products
  • You supervise several kitchen helpers and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with HACCP guidelines
  • You will ensure efficient and timely staff planning in the kitchen

We are looking for a cook who:

  • Has a completed training as a cook and at least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • is available for a minimum of 24 hours preferably also at least 1 weekend day per week (working hours 10:00 - 19:00)
  • Is able to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Has a passion for cooking and creating new dishes
  • Is familiar with and strictly complies with HACCP guidelines
