As a sales assistant, you will help international visitors discover the world of premium Dutch cheese. You will bring the experience to life in our Farmstore shop by advising customers, guiding tastings and presenting our cheese story and thinking along with them about creative shop and product presentations. You will do this together with an enthusiastic, international team that has a passion for hospitality. We work with a lot of freedom and personal responsibility, so that you can really make a difference to the customer experience. In this job, you can work part-time alongside your studies, second job or other activities. We are happy to help you find the right work-life-study balance!

This position requires that you are allowed to work in the Netherlands without restrictions or additional permits. We cannot provide a work permit.

What will you do?

  • advising customers proactively and sales-oriented
  • presenting the product range and letting customers taste cheese by means of storytelling
  • cleaning and performing other activities that contribute to the shop's appearance
  • restocking the shelves in the shop
  • opening and closing the shop
  • You bring our cheese experience to life, in the shop and, if you wish, also online with various promotional content on our socials

Who are you?

  • You preferably have some experience in hospitality and/or retail and are used to pampering customers and giving them a good time
  • You are able to work independently as well as in a team
  • You have a great affinity with tourism and enjoy serving our guests in an old Dutch outfit to give them a 'piece of Holland'.
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch (or are learning this) and English (command of additional foreign languages is an advantage).
  • You are customer-oriented, proactive and always know what needs to be done.
  • You have excellent contact skills, a flexible attitude and a great sense of responsibility.
  • You are physically in good shape.
  • You are available to work weekends, public holidays and evenings.
