Cheese & Ties: "What a fun taster internship!"

Discovering new talent starts early at Henri Willig. And vice versa, we naturally hope that new talent will discover us too! That is why we are always open to students who come to us for a so called 'snuffer' internship. Ties scouted us and that tastes like more!

Ties is 15 years old, comes from Monnickendam and does vmbo gtl. Last week, he completed his internship at Jacobs Hoeve in Katwoude. In the shop, he helped with all the work.
Ties tell us, what did you like most?

"I found the most fun and immediately most instructive was speaking to the guests at the tasting table in English. I often stood at the 1st tasting table where all guests enter directly from the storytelling room so that is quite hectic, luckily I kept my cool :-). It is a nice team with young and old mixed together , I especially enjoyed hearing the stories of the older staff! The least fun was cleaning, but of course that's part of the job. In the beginning, I used a little too much water, so the floor stayed wet for a long time. That was another learning curve".

Will we see you again at Henri Willig?

I already have two jobs: on Terschelling (where we have a summer house) in the washing-up and in Monnickendam in the supermarket. But I definitely want to work at Henri Willig in a side job as well because this tastes like more. Next year I turn 16 and then I can also do the till, so I can do even more jobs, so yes, you will definitely be seeing me again!
