With his knowledge and insight into automated processes, the Operator Handling Line forms an important link in the storage and handling of the various cheese specialities of Cheese Factory Henri Willig. This apprenticeship can be in BBL form or in an accelerated MBO route. Work is carried out in three shifts.

In recent years, Kaasmakerij Henri Willig has invested heavily in expanding and improving its factory in Heerenveen. Examples include the implementation of a (robotised) packaging line, a cheese treatment line and a completely renovated, enlarged and automated cheese warehouse. You will be working with the most modern robots and AGVs in the dairy industry as well as with artisanal specialty cheeses that win prizes worldwide.

What will you do?

  • You will start by inspecting equipment and starting up lines.
  • You operate modern automated machines, take care of product feed and discharge.
  • You carry out visual quality checks and intervene in case of deviations.
  • You will learn to identify, analyse and solve faults (under supervision).
  • You will follow the subjects of the MBO 3 Process Operator course: process technology, process automation, quality control, safety & maintenance.
  • You will work as part of a team in the Handling/Beating & Storage department, in a production environment with dynamics, technology and food.
  • This will give you a good idea of the profession and you will gain relevant practical experience.

Do you recognise yourself in the following?

  • We are looking for a motivated apprentice with ambition to grow in the technical profession of process operator. You have:
  • Education level: MBO (level 2 or 3) or equivalent and willingness to continue learning to level 3.
  • Interest in process engineering, automation and production processes.
  • Accuracy, quality awareness and a sense of safety and hygiene.
  • Collaborative attitude, but also able to work independently and responsibly.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours within production shifts / 3-shifts. The shifts are: 06.00 - 14.00 | 14.00 - 22.00 | 22.00 - 06.00 whereby you are free every weekend.

  • a job classified in scale 4 of the Dairy CLA (€2,773 - €3,459 gross per month based on 36 hours, excluding shift bonus and end-of-year bonus) with good fringe benefits (pension, travel allowance)

  • a shift bonus of 21.09%
  • year-end bonus of 5% of your annual salary
