Junior System / Network Security Engineer

Minimum 32 and maximum 40 contract hours per week

You will be part of a close-knit and ambitious IT team responsible for the optimal functioning and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure. Our environment is spread over no less than 41 locations, including 39 shops, which makes for a dynamic and versatile work field in which you can quickly develop your knowledge and skills.
What will you do?
- You will be inducted by experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to take responsibility, step by step, for:
- Management, monitoring and optimisation of our network and server landscape (Windows/Linux)
- Virtualisation management with VMware (vSphere/vCenter)
- Application management of business-critical software
- Security monitoring and threat detection, including with Darktrace and measures such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention
- Participating in IT projects such as renewals, migrations and automation
- Assist with 2nd/3rd line support and more complex incidents (with guidance)
- Issue and manage laptops and mobile phones
- Contribute to the management of networks and systems across 41 locations via WireGuard VPN
- Maintaining documentation and identifying improvement opportunities
In doing so, you will have the space to grow towards an independent and specialist role, with plenty of support from the team and many opportunities for training and certification.
What do we ask of you?
We don't expect you to already know everything - we do expect you to be eager to learn, proactive and enthusiastic about the IT profession. Furthermore, you recognise yourself in the following:
- You have completed or are about to complete an MBO 4 or HBO education (in the ICT field)
- You already have some experience with Windows/Linux/networks through internships, work or your own projects
- You are solution-oriented, customer-friendly and structured
- You are flexible and do not mind working on location from time to time (also occasionally abroad)
- You have a driving licence B and own transport
- You are fluent in Dutch and English (German is an advantage)
- You are eager to grow, certify and continue to develop yourself

Henri Willig is a fast-growing independent livestock farmer, cheese producer, retailer and exporter that has been successful in the exclusive cheese segment since 1974. Henri Willig has a strong position in the national and international market for Dutch cheese and organic cheese specialities. The total organisation comprises a livestock farm, 2 cheese dairies, 39 shops in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, a Grand Café and a Webshop.
Our organisation is developing rapidly, giving our ICT team more and more information technology challenges. With activities in production, logistics, B2B sales and retail, we offer a wide range of work and projects. Several ambitious IT projects are planned in the coming years to further strengthen our organisation.
Our ICT team consists of six experienced and dedicated colleagues in positions such as Application/Network Administrator, Business Analyst, System Administrator/IT Support Engineer and Application Developer. Together, we work daily to improve business processes and the continuity of our IT environment. In this position, you will report directly to the ICT Manager.
