Are you ready for a unique learning experience in one of the most famous cheese shops in the Netherlands? At Henri Willig on the Zaanse Schans, you will get the chance to develop your retail management skills in a dynamic and touristic environment, where craftsmanship and hospitality are key!
As a Retail Management Trainee at Henri Willig, you will be immersed in the daily operations of our busy shop on the Zaanse Schans. You will learn all the ins and outs of running a successful shop and develop skills crucial for your future in retail.
What will you learn?
- Actively participate in the shop, from stock management to sales.
- Supervise and coach shop staff and trainees.
- Ensuring attractive shop presentation.
- Performing commercial analyses (e.g. turnover and customer behaviour).
- Supporting the planning and scheduling of employees.
- Responding to customer needs, especially with international tourists.
What skills and competences will you discover and develop in yourself?
- Enthusiastic, customer-oriented, proactive and a team player.
- Hospitality and communication skills, you enjoy talking to customers and radiate this.
- Development of your English language (do you also speak other languages? That's totally great!).
- Orderly work and an eye for detail to keep the shop looking tip-top.
- If you already have some experience in hospitality, tourism or retail, this is a plus!
- Good at switching between different tasks.
- Flexible and proactive; no day is the same!
