Cheesemaker Henri Willig, also known for its organic Hooidammer cheeses, is a fast-growing, independent cheesemaker, exporter and retailer that has been successful in the premium cheese segment since 1974. Quality, sustainability and innovation are our top priorities. More than 400 members of our Cheese Family are involved every day in making our award-winning cheeses, which we sell daily to our customers in more than 35 countries as well as in our more than 30 own shops.

The International Account Manager is responsible for the optimal realisation of the Sales & Marketing objectives at his customers and markets. You are part of a team of 13 enthusiastic colleagues consisting of sales office staff and account managers. You report to the Commercial Director.

What will you do?

  • Making plans and budgets for sales and distribution of the various products per market and customer
  • Achieving the defined objectives with regard to sales, distribution (brand and product), presentation and profitability per market and customer
  • Timely and active response to important market and customer developments
  • Introducing new customers, tapping new markets and co-developing new products
  • Regular visits to foreign customers
  • Maintaining intensive contact with customers and other relevant stakeholders
  • Actively organising and participating in (international) trade fairs

We are looking for someone with the following background:

  • A completed education in a commercial field, preferably with an international specialisation (at least HBO level)
  • Experience in a similar role in an international B2B environment in the food industry and experience serving Retailers is a plus
  • Strong commercial drive and the talent to see and seize new opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact with stakeholders from different (cultural) backgrounds
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language both verbally and in writing (additional foreign languages are a plus)
