Then we are looking for you as Assistant Store Manager at our unique location: the Jacobs Hoeve in Katwoude.
At our cheese farm, we give daily professional demonstrations on how our artisanal cheeses are made - from milk to finished product. Here, visitors experience the story of cheese making, told in several languages, in a place where tradition and hospitality come together.
What will you do?
As Assistant Store Manager, together with the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all daily operations in the shop and on the farm. You are the point of contact on the shop floor and lead by example in customer experience, hospitality and sales.
Your duties include:
- Managing, coaching and motivating the team on the shop floor
- Actively participating in the shop and giving demonstrations about the cheese-making process
- Advising international guests and customers in several languages (where possible)
- Monitoring the shop presentation and promoting the unique Jacobs Hoeve concept
- Ensuring optimal personnel planning and coordinating the rosters
- Training and supervising (new) colleagues
- Monitoring stock and carrying out orders
- Performing administrative tasks, such as cash management and reporting
- Identifying improvement opportunities on the work floor and contributing ideas for optimisation
You combine operational leadership with being a host/hostess and ensure that your team makes a difference to the experience of our visitors every day.
What we are looking for in you:
- You have experience in a management position within Retail, Hospitality or Tourism.
- You are proactive, customer-oriented and have a passion for sales and experience.
- You know how to enthuse, coach and empower people.
- You speak excellent Dutch and English. Command of other languages is an advantage, or you are open to learning them.
- You are flexible and available at weekends and on public holidays.

- A competitive salary according to the collective labour agreement for the food industry: €2,870 - €3,459 gross per month (based on 40 hours)
