Do you know how to coach your staff like no other and take them to greater heights, and do you want to work with your team to give visitors from all over the world an unforgettable time? For our beautiful cheese shop on the Damrak in Amsterdam, we are looking for an Assistant Store Manager (32-40 hours).

In this position, you are jointly responsible for coordinating the work in the shop as well as managing the employees. This means that you will set an example to the employees in terms of sales. In this role, you learn to provide sales-oriented advice in (increasingly) different languages.

In addition, you ensure that there is good staffing and train employees. Responsibilities also include keeping stock in the shop and carrying out administrative tasks, including staff planning.

As Assistant Store Manager, you will report to the Store Manager.

We are looking for a new colleague who:

has experience in a similar managerial position in Retail, Hospitality or Tourism.
is passionate about Retail and tourism, proactively and sales-oriented in advising customers and knows how to enthuse and stimulate his or her staff.
has a flexible attitude and excellent contact and coaching skills.
has an excellent command of Dutch and English, supplemented by other modern languages or is willing to learn these languages.
is willing to work weekends and public holidays.
