For our Cheese & More shop in Utrecht, we are looking for an enthusiastic holiday worker / sales assistant to join our team during the busy summer period. If you enjoy the work on both sides, there is the possibility of continuing to work with us as a sales assistant in a part-time role after the summer.
At Cheese & More by Henri Willig, we introduce visitors to the flavours of the Netherlands. With our cheeses, delicacies and hospitality, we create a unique shopping experience every day for guests from home and abroad.
At Cheese & More, we introduce our visitors from all over the world to our delicious cheeses and deli products. Visitors are also very curious about the origins of our products. What will you do as a sales assistant at Cheese & More by Henri Willig
In this role, you will ensure that every customer feels welcome and leaves the shop with a smile.
- You will advise customers proactively and sales-oriented about our cheeses and related products, so that they make a choice that suits their taste.
- You will tell the story behind our family business and the product range and let customers taste cheese, thus contributing to a real experience in the shop.
- You perform cleaning tasks and keep the shop tidy
- You replenish the shelves and ensure that products are attractively presented.
- You will open and close the shop according to established procedures, contributing to a safe and organised working environment.
This position suits candidates who like to be active, get energy from customer contact and enjoy working in an international retail environment.
What will you bring with you as a salesperson in our Cheese & More shop
- You must be at least 16 years old
- You are available during the holiday period
- You enjoy working with customers
- You are enthusiastic, presentable and keen to learn
- You speak Dutch and can get by in English
- You are flexible in terms of working hours, including at weekends

What do you earn with us as a school pupil or student?
For school pupils and students, we apply fixed gross hourly rates in accordance with the Food Industry Collective Labour Agreement&, including a 25.3% bonus.

About Henri Willig
Henri Willig is a rapidly growing, independent livestock farmer, cheese producer, retailer and exporter that has been successful in the premium cheese segment since 1974. Henri Willig holds a strong position in the national and international markets for Dutch cheese and organic cheese specialities. The organisation as a whole comprises a livestock farm, two cheese dairies, 39 shops, a Grand Café and an online shop.

Frequently asked questions
You will work part-time 16 hours per week. You are available weekly on weekends and also flexibly available on weekdays.
You will work in the heart of Utrecht city centre on the Vismarkt
You will advise customers sales-wise, tell the story of the company and its range, taste cheese, replenish shelves, keep the shop clean and open or close the shop.
The gross hourly wage including 25.3 per cent supplement is age-related and ranges from €5.85 for 13 to 15 years to €18.43 for 21 years of age. A 50 per cent supplement applies on Sundays.
You must have an excellent command of English and Dutch. Additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, French or German are a plus.
