Would you like to work as a part-time sales assistant in our beautiful Cheese Famrstore in the heart of Delft and advise and enthuse our international visitors about our delicious cheeses and delicacy products?
At Henri Willig we let our visitors from all over the world get to know our delicious cheeses and delicacy products. Visitors are also very curious about the origins of our products. Will you make sure they leave our shop with a smile and an experience richer? As a Sales Assistant, you will work weekends, in combiance with flexible 1-2 days during the week.
As a part-time sales associate you will contribute to the reputation of our brand and ensure ensure that our visitors get a premium shopping experience that reflects our core values. You will be a true brand ambassador in-store and if you like it, you can also contribute to content online.
What will you do as a sales assistant?
In this role, you will ensure that every customer feels welcome and leaves the shop with a smile.
- You will advise customers proactively and sales-oriented about our cheeses and related products, so that they make a choice that suits their taste.
- You will tell the story behind our family business and the product range and let customers taste cheese, thus contributing to a real experience in the shop.
- You carry out cleaning tasks and keep the shop tidy, so that the appearance fits an authentic Dutch farm shop.
- You replenish the shelves and ensure that products are attractively presented.
- You open and close the shop according to the applicable procedures, contributing to a safe and organised working environment.
This position suits candidates who like to be active, get energy from customer contact and enjoy working in an international retail environment.
What do you bring
You bring enthusiasm and feel responsible for every customer's experience.
- You preferably have experience in hospitality or retail and know what hospitality means, but even without experience you are welcome and we will teach you the trade.
- You have an affinity with tourism and enjoy letting visitors experience a piece of the Netherlands in an old Dutch outfit.
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and English; knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, French is a plus in our shops.
- You are customer-oriented, proactive and see for yourself what needs to be done on the shop floor.
- You have good communication skills, are flexible and take responsibility for your work.
- You are physically fit and have no problem standing a lot and being active.
- You are available on weekends every week and are also flexible on 1-2 weekdays or half-days.
The role is suitable for a part-time job or students and scholars who want to combine work with their studies and develop in sales, hospitality and international customer service.

- You will receive a competitive salary between €2,660 and €3,224 gross per month based on full-time employment, in accordance with the collective labour agreement for the food industry, excluding travel allowance and 50% Sunday allowance.

- You will follow a comprehensive induction programme so that you start with knowledge of our products and working methods.
- You will have your own responsibility and space to think about improvements in the shop.

For pupils and students we have fixed gross hourly wages including 25.3% surcharge.

For this role you speak English and Dutch and another foreign language is a plus, some experience in hospitality, retail or tourism is nice to have but not necessarily necessary.
