As a sales assistant at Cheese & More by Henri Willig in Rotterdam, you will work in a lively retail environment where you will have daily contact with both Dutch and international visitors. You will help customers, let them taste our products and make sure everyone leaves the shop with a positive experience. The position is flexible and easy to combine with studies or other activities.
You will be part of a small and enthusiastic team where cooperation and fun are key. You will work mainly at weekends and also flexibly during the week, with Friday evenings being part of the schedule. You will also be deployed regularly in our shop in the Westfield&mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam. In this role, you will develop your commercial skills and work in an international environment where customer experience is key.
What will you do
In this role, you will ensure that customers not only buy products, but also have a complete shopping experience.
- You advise customers proactively and in a sales-oriented way so that they leave the shop with the right products.
- You present the product range with enthusiasm through storytelling and let customers taste products.
- You contribute to a neat and tidy shop through cleaning and presentation.
- You restock shelves and perform cash register tasks, such as checkout and making packages.
This position suits candidates who derive energy from customer contact and working in a dynamic retail environment.

- You are enthusiastic, customer-oriented and take initiative in your contact with customers.
- You have a good command of Dutch and English; other languages are an advantage.
- You live in Rotterdam or within about 30 minutes' travel time from the Markthal.
- You are physically able to lift and help with cargo and stock.
- Experience in hospitality, tourism or retail is a plus but not required.
- Flexible to also help out in the shop in Leidschendam

We have fixed gross hourly wages for students including 25.3% surcharge.
