As a sink kitchen employee in Giethoorn , you will work part-time or as a side job / student job in a versatile hospitality location in the middle of one of the most famous tourist villages in the Netherlands. You will work in a dynamic environment with a Grand Café, ice cream parlour, historic cheese shop and canal boat, where visitors from home and abroad gather daily.

Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that the kitchen and behind-the-scenes service runs smoothly. You will work an average of 16-24 hours per week, including weekends, between 12:00 and 21:00. This position is accessible from the age of 15 and offers opportunities to grow within the team.

What will you do

In this role, you will ensure that the kitchen remains tidy, efficient and well organised, so that the team can perform at its best.

  • You will assist the cook with preparatory and assisting tasks, ensuring dishes are served in a timely and proper manner.
  • You will do the dishes and keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean, which is essential for hygiene and safety.
  • You will support other work where necessary, strengthening the team spirit within the Grand Café.
