As a Retail Facilities Management Coordinator, you will combine your technical knowledge and hands-on approach with coordination, planning and advisory skills. You will ensure that our shops in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria are safe, presentable and in good working order.
Are you technically skilled, hands-on and someone who looks beyond simply resolving a fault? You are the facilities coordinator who gets called in during emergencies. A door that won’t close properly, a system that isn’t working, a refurbishment that needs organising, or a supplier who isn’t delivering as agreed. You enjoy solving the problem and are happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in yourself. But you look beyond that. Why does this keep going wrong? Could we do it more efficiently? Should we organise this differently? And what impact will a decision we make today have on our shops in a few years’ time?
What are you going to do?
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our shops and will ensure that tasks are properly organised and carried out. In doing so, you will combine hands-on work, organisational skills and forward thinking:
- You plan and coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections and assessments.
- You ensure that technical problems are resolved quickly and effectively and, where possible, carry out the work yourself.
- You manage buildings, installations and stock, and keep track of what requires maintenance and when.
- You coordinate refurbishments, shop openings and other technical or facilities-related projects.
- You work with contractors, suppliers, landlords and construction partners to ensure that agreements are honoured.
- You monitor maintenance contracts, budgets, investments and scheduling.
- You’ll deal with safety, RI&&E, permits, utilities and waste streams.
- You’ll contribute ideas on how we can organise the management of our shops in a smarter, more efficient and future-proof way.
- You provide direction to the facilities team and, together, ensure effective planning and execution.
In short: you are not only the one who solves the problem, but also the one who thinks about how we can prevent the problem from recurring.
What are you bringing?
You don’t need to come from a single specific field. Perhaps you’re a technical manager, site supervisor, service engineer, facilities coordinator, property manager, or have developed into a true all-rounder through practical experience. What we consider more important is that you:
- have strong technical and practical skills and enjoy getting stuck in;
- are able to judge when to sort something out yourself and when to call in a specialist;
- keep track of multiple shops, tasks and suppliers;
- have experience in building management, maintenance, engineering, construction or a similar environment;
- switch easily between working on the shop floor and liaising with suppliers, management and other stakeholders;
- not only carry out tasks, but also think critically about processes, costs, quality and future-proofing;
- dare to make decisions independently and take responsibility;
- are good at organising, communicating and setting priorities;
- have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking;
- speaks Dutch and English and can get by adequately in German.
What we offer
We believe it is important that you are able to carry out your work with enjoyment and autonomy. That is why we offer:
- Salary: €3,991 – €4,622 gross per month (G-scale under our Henri Willig regulations).
- A company car, mobile phone and laptop.
- Pension scheme.
- A varied role within a growing international retail organisation.
- A great deal of freedom and responsibility to organise your work as you see fit.
- A role in which you’ll be involved in hands-on work whilst also contributing ideas for the future.
An enthusiastic and committed team. Opportunities for further professional development.
Ready for the next step?
Are you the sort of person who enjoys solving technical problems yourself, whilst also thinking about how things can be done smarter, more efficiently and better tomorrow? Do you switch easily between the shop floor, suppliers, external parties and management, and take responsibility for our shops? If so, we’d love to meet you!
