Do you have an interest in quality issues within the food sector and would you like to be part of our QHSE team at our growing, international family business? The Quality Officer supports the organisation with quality matters and thereby makes a significant contribution to ensuring compliance with all (international) legislation. In doing so, you’ll help ensure that our speciality cheeses are exported daily to customers in more than 40 different countries!

 

You will be part of the HSE team, comprising five experienced, dedicated colleagues, and you will report to the HSE Manager. 

In this role, your responsibilities will include the following, amongst other things

  • You draw up legal information and provide it to the Sales and Retail departments and directly to the customer.
  • You check the labels for compliance with current legislation.
  • You manage the specifications for the entire product range.
  • You apply European and other international legislation to the specifications and labels.
  • You will research regulatory issues.
  • You will answer queries from customers and the Sales department.
  • You complete customer questionnaires and specifications.
  • You manage supplier specifications, certificates and supplier questionnaires.
  • You carry out supplier assessments.
  • You carry out internal quality audits.
  • You will keep the quality manual up to date.
  • You manage safety data sheets.
  • You make quality-related improvement proposals to the QHSE Manager.
  • You carry out hygiene rounds.
  • You contribute ideas on improvements to HSE processes and systems, and identify and initiate improvement proposals within the HSE policy.
  • There is scope to expand your responsibilities to cover other areas within the department.

We are looking for someone who has the following qualities

  • You have completed an MBO4/HBO qualification (preferably in Food Technology).
  • Several years’ work experience in a similar role within a food production environment would be an advantage.
  • You have a professional, customer-focused attitude and good interpersonal skills.
  • You are accurate, have a strong analytical mind and an eye for detail.
  • You have an affinity for systems.
  • You have a pragmatic and flexible approach.
  • You have a good command of the Dutch language.

Here’s what you can expect from us

  • You will be offered a role classified in scale 7 of the Dairy Collective Labour Agreement, with a salary starting at €3,655 gross per month based on a 36-hour week, along with excellent fringe benefits (pension, travel allowance and a discount on the tastiest cheese in the Netherlands!).
  • You’ll receive an end-of-year bonus of 5% of your annual salary.
