Are you interested in the impact of music on the shopping experience? During this marketing placement in Katwoude at Henri Willig, you will be conducting research into the perception of music in shops. This practical placement offers you the chance to translate insights into concrete recommendations that can improve the shopping experience for visitors.

You’ll combine research with creativity and retail experience in an international setting. This internship offers a great deal of independence and scope for your own ideas, whilst you contribute to the development of our stores.

During this placement, you will investigate how music can enhance the in-store experience and commercial environment of our shops.

  • You will investigate the influence of music on customer experience and purchasing behaviour in shops.
  • You will identify the benefits and potential risks of using music, such as noise levels and brand perception.
  • You will investigate various music systems, streaming services and retail radio solutions.
  • You will analyse which music concepts suit our shops and target audience.
  • You will investigate how music can be practically organised and managed within the organisation.
  • You will develop practical implementation recommendations for the use of music in our shops.

We are looking for someone who has the following

For this internship, we are looking for a curious and independent student with an interest in customer experience and retail.

  • You are studying multimedia, marketing, communication or retail at vocational or higher vocational level.
  • You work independently and think analytically.
  • You have an affinity for music, atmosphere and customer behaviour.
  • You enjoy combining research with creative concepts and practical solutions.

About Henri Willig

Henri Willig is a rapidly growing, independent livestock farmer, cheese producer, retailer and exporter that has been successful in the premium cheese segment since 1974.
