Are you an ambitious Independent Working Chef with a passion for cooking and would you like to work at a beautiful location in Giethoorn? Then we are looking for you!

As an independent working chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that appeal to both individual guests and groups. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to put together the menu and tailor it to the wishes of our guests. You can work 4 days (no late nights!) per week. Of course you are flexible for weekend days. A cook works with us until 20:30 max! We are also open to a freelance / self-employed cook.

What will you do

  • As an independent working cook, you will be responsible for the daily operations in the kitchen of the Grand Café
  • You keep the stock of products
  • You supervise several kitchen helpers and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with HACCP guidelines
  • You will ensure efficient and timely staff planning in the kitchen

What do you bring

  • Has a completed training as a cook and at least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Is available for a minimum of 24 hours preferably also at least 1 weekend day per week (working hours 12:00 - 20:30)
  • Is able to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Has a passion for cooking and creating new dishes
  • Is familiar with and strictly complies with HACCP guidelines
