As a Senior Sales Assistant, you’ll work alongside the store manager to lead an enthusiastic team and ensure a premium shopping experience every day. In this role, your responsibilities will include the following
- Together with the store manager, you will share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the shop and the team, with a strong focus on the customer experience, quality and commercial results in a premium retail environment.
- Together with your team, you create a professional and welcoming working atmosphere, centred on collaboration, ownership and job satisfaction.
- You coach and develop staff, encourage them to take responsibility and ensure stable staffing levels, even in your absence.
- You actively uphold and promote the Cheese && More by Henri Willig concept to guests, colleagues and external partners, and act as a brand ambassador.
- In the store manager’s absence, you are the point of contact for local partnerships, suppliers and internal departments, and contribute to local entrepreneurship within clear guidelines.
- You will focus on results such as turnover, service quality and team development, and report on these to the regional manager.
We are looking for someone who has the following qualities
- Experience in a sales role within retail, hospitality or a customer-focused environment, preferably in an international or tourism-related context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a proactive attitude and a sense of responsibility.
- Coaching, developing and motivating team members, whilst at the same time being clear, structured and decisive.
- A passion for retail, premium food and tourism, and the ability to promote these as a brand ambassador — both in-store and in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Analytical and commercial thinking, recognising opportunities for improvement and implementing them effectively.
- Fluent in German and English; an additional language would be an advantage.
- Flexibility within a fixed shop rota, four to five days a week, between 10:00 and 20:00.
