Are you ready to work as a Driver (Own Vehicle) to supply our shops and farms with our artisanal speciality cheeses and other delicacies and accessories? Then read on! For the Retail / DC department, we are looking for a van driver with a B-E driving licence; a C1 driving licence is an advantage, or you must be willing to obtain one in the near future.
As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting our delicious cheeses and other artisanal products to our shops, farms and suppliers. Given the busy and hectic nature of the shops, we are looking for a Driver who is able to serve our (internal) customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner. As a Driver, you will be part of the Distribution Centre team, which consists of four friendly colleagues.
In this role, your responsibilities will include the following, amongst other things
- You will be delivering to our shops – mostly prime locations in busy, major city centres – as well as farms and other customers/retailers.
- Together with your fellow driver, you’ll divide up the routes, driving in Amsterdam and the surrounding area one week and covering longer routes further afield the next, such as Rotterdam, The Hague, Delft, Utrecht, Maastricht and Giethoorn.
- You will load and unload our products: you’ll unload the pallets using an EPT (electric pallet truck) and will also regularly need to use your physical strength to unstack the pallets in the shop. On average, you’ll deliver to 4–5 shops per day.
- You’ll also work in the Distribution Centre, which involves warehouse work and order picking, amongst other tasks.
- Your working days are Monday to Friday and occasionally on Saturdays, following a rota, with working hours from 06:00 to 15:00.
We are looking for someone who has the following qualities
- You hold a BE and C1 driving licence, but we are open to candidates who wish to obtain their C1 driving licence in the near future.
- Ideally, you hold Code 95 or are willing to obtain it.
- You have at least one year’s experience as a driver, preferably in large city centres.
- You are physically fit and therefore able to load the lorry independently and deliver the goods to our shops.
- You are service-oriented, flexible, independent, meticulous and a good ambassador for our excellent products and brands, including whilst on the road.
