Assistant Store Manager Cheese & More by Henri Willig, Trier

You play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager and the team. Your responsibilities include:

• You’ll support the day-to-day management of the shop and the team, with a strong focus on customer experience, quality and commercial results in a premium retail environment.
• You help to create a professional and welcoming working atmosphere, centred on collaboration, ownership and job satisfaction.
• You coach and develop staff, encourage them to take responsibility and ensure stable staffing levels, even when the Store Manager is absent.
• You actively promote the Cheese && More by Henri Willig concept to guests, colleagues and external partners, and act as a brand ambassador.
• You are the point of contact for local partnerships, suppliers and internal departments, and contribute to local entrepreneurship within clear guidelines.
• You help drive results such as turnover, service quality and team development, and report on these to the Store Manager.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Experience in a support role within retail, hospitality or a customer-focused environment, preferably in an international or tourism context.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a proactive attitude and a sense of responsibility.
• The ability to coach, develop and motivate team members, whilst remaining clear, organised and decisive.
• A passion for retail, premium food and tourism, and the ability to promote these as a brand ambassador.
• Analytical and commercial thinking, recognising opportunities for improvement and implementing them effectively.
• Fluent in German and English; an additional language would be an advantage.
• Flexibility within a fixed shop rota, four to five days a week, between 10:00 and 20:00.
