Henri Willig operates in the fields of manufacturing, logistics, B2B and retail. This means you will be working in a diverse IT environment, where you will work alongside a dedicated IT team to help drive the further digitalisation of our organisation. You will report directly to the IT manager and be given every opportunity to develop your skills further.
What are you going to do?
As a Retail Application/Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- You will manage, configure, test and optimise retail applications, POS systems and supporting software.
- You will maintain and improve till systems, card terminals, workstations and other retail systems.
- You provide second- and third-line support to shops and colleagues on application, system and process issues.
- You will visit shops to analyse processes and translate opportunities for improvement into practical IT solutions.
- You will oversee changes and releases, test new functionalities and support users during implementations.
- You will contribute ideas on integrations between POS, ERP, stock management and payment systems.
- Drawing up practical work instructions and supporting users in making the most of applications.
- Analysing and resolving incidents to minimise disruptions to shop operations as much as possible.
- Coordinate with external suppliers regarding incidents, changes, releases and the further development of applications.
We are looking for someone who has the following qualities
You are a solution-oriented IT professional who enjoys working as part of a team and is motivated by satisfied users. You also recognise yourself in the following:
- You have an affinity with retail processes and business applications.
- You enjoy visiting shops regularly as well as carrying out office work.
- Occasionally, you are available outside office hours when the situation requires it.
- A few times a year, you are willing to travel abroad for a few days for new shop openings.
- You hold a Category B driving licence and have your own transport.
- You take responsibility and are keen to continue developing yourself.
Here’s what you can expect from us
- A gross monthly salary of €3,200 to €3,883 (based on a 40-hour week, scale F).
- A varied role in which you’ll work at the intersection of IT, retail and business processes.
