Buse moved to the Netherlands from Turkey to study psychology. After her master's, she decided to look for a side job where she could not only practise her Dutch, but also get energy from human contact. A friend tipped her Henri Willig - and it turned out to be a hit.
"I am sociable, curious and love telling stories. And coincidentally, one of my good intentions was to learn more about cheese!"
After a spontaneous visit to the shop in Utrecht and a trial shift, she was immediately hired. She now works in several shops and continues to learn from colleagues as well as customers. What she likes best? That smile on a customer's face.
"I always try to really engage in conversation. Not just about cheese, but also about who someone is. That makes the work so much more fun for both of us."
Besides her work on the shop floor, Buse is also active as a brand ambassador for Henri Willig. Working with the marketing team, she developed her own ideas for Instagram and TikTok content, including videos about products and promotions. She films, edits and devises the content herself:
"During an onboarding event, I asked why we weren't doing more with TikTok and Instagram. That led to a conversation with marketing - and now I regularly create content for them. SO much fun!"
It is important to Buse that there is room for ideas, initiative and personal growth at Henri Willig:
