Working Shifts in Production &, Logistics
Working shifts: more free time than you might think:
Shift work. For many people, it sounds like getting up early, night shifts and working when others are off. But is shift work really as tough as it’s often made out to be? At Henri Willig, our colleagues find that the reality is much more varied.
At our cheese factory in Heerenveen, we operate on a rotating shift system. This means you don’t work the same hours every day; your working hours rotate. On the other hand, this means you have time off at other times. And that is precisely what can be a major advantage of working shifts.
Working in a cheese factory involves more than just operating a machine. At Henri Willig, you’ll be helping to create a product that ultimately reaches customers in the Netherlands and beyond.
At our production sites in Heerenveen and Katwoude, colleagues work on various stages of the process: from milk reception and cheese production to pressing, brining, treatment, packaging, logistics and dispatch. Together, they ensure that our cheeses are produced with care and reach the customer on time. It is precisely this combination of technology, food production, craftsmanship, teamwork and responsibility that makes working in the cheese factory so appealing to people who enjoy hands-on work and want to see the results of their efforts.
